Mr Higginbottom really spoiled me today. Not only did we go to the zoo but we also went to Dalton Towers again! Then we finished off a brilliant day with a visit to McDonalds. At Dalton Towers we had our photograph taken together, and he didn't stand about a yard away from me and pretend that he wasn't with me, like my father did the last time we had our photograph taken, no, he stood close to me and put his arm round me just like I was his real son. I thought at the time 'I really do need to have Mr Higginbottom as my father', so when he dropped me off at my house later I asked him in for a coffee, to get the ball rolling with him and my mother. If I'm honest with myself it might take some time to get them together, because Mr Higginbottom, although very polite, didn't show the slightest interest in her, but maybe this was because she was halfway through dying her hair and looked more like the Creature from the Lost Lagoon than a prospective lover. Anyway at least they've met now, so it's a start.
